Congratulations to Daizah Wills and Erik Esquivel for being selected as finalists in the Do the Write Thing contest sponsored by the Communities in Schools program. They were treated to a nice banquet, and accompanied by CIS leader Rene DelaPaz and AVID teacher Karen Burnham. There were 1700 entries our area. Way to go!!!

We wish to recognize, and thank, our very own Officer Orlando Sanchez during National Police Week. We appreciate all you do for each and everyone of us! Thank you for keeping us safe and orderly. If you see Officer Sanchez, be sure and thank him!!

Congratulations to Mr. Baca, Band Director, and Mrs. Cieslik, Choir Director for being recognized by the Board for achieving Superior Ratings at UIL Contest this year. They are pictured here with the KING VLC music teachers who also earned Superior Ratings. Way to go, King VLC!

Another shout-out to our Coastal Bend Spelling Bee Representative to the National Scripp's Spelling Bee in Maryland! Anthony was recognized by our School Board and Superintendent. Mrs. Fuentes and Mrs. Gonzalez, our spelling bee organizer, were with him to receive this recognition.





Our Haas 6th grade class was treated to pizza by our superintendent, Dr. Hernandez, due to their efforts for good attendance this year!! Congratulations, 6th Grade Class!!!!

Awesome job student Jasmine Sanchez, 8th grade, did on her Science project entitled "Hello Kitty." Way to go the extra mile!

A student will be randomly selected to win a prize (i.e. earbuds, speaker, TV, etc.). You never know what the prize will be.

We challenge all our 6th , 7th and 8th grade students to meet the daily goal of 95%!!!
Let'motivate our students to be in school EVERY DAY and EVERY CLASS until May 30th.
