Just a few important reminders for August! 📣
This Thursday, August 20th, support Faye Webb at the Chick-fil-A Saratoga location. All you have to do is mention Faye Webb when dining in or at the drive - thru! 🐄
Fall Picture Day is Tuesday, August 25th. Please be on the lookout for order forms in binders, folders, and backpacks. 📸
Thank you to our families for your patience and support as we transitioned our Starfish successfully into back-to-school procedures and routines. We are looking forward to creating an exciting and memorable school year!

Thank you for helping us have an outstanding first day of school! As with any first day, we are continuing to refine our procedures to make arrival and dismissal as safe, smooth, and efficient as possible for all of our students and families.
A few friendly reminders:
🚗 Please remain in your vehicle during arrival and dismissal. If your child needs assistance buckling into a car seat, please pull forward to a safe area after your child is in the vehicle before stopping to buckle them. This allows the line to continue moving and helps prevent traffic congestion.
🪧 Display your car placard clearly in your windshield during dismissal. This helps our staff quickly identify your student and get them safely to your vehicle.
👫 Older siblings should report to their younger sibling’s designated dismissal area. This allows siblings to be dismissed together and helps prevent confusion.
We truly appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we continue improving our procedures. Every adjustment we make is centered on providing a safe and positive experience for our students.
Thank you for being such an important part of our Faye Webb family! ⭐💙
**Good Morning, Faye Webb Families,**
As we begin the **2026–2027 school year**, we would like to remind everyone that the dismissal procedure implemented last school year **will remain in effect**. We appreciate your continued cooperation as these procedures help us maintain a safe, efficient, and organized dismissal process for all students.
For many years, Faye Webb Elementary offered a "field-walking" option during dismissal. However, our campus now utilizes **only two dismissal options**:
* **Car Line Pickup**
* **Walker Dismissal** (students walking home or to a designated location)
Students who are **not** being picked up through the car line must be designated as **walkers**. While our staff will continue to supervise and assist students in the car pickup line, staff **will not escort students across the street to the neighboring park however, our PK and kinder students who walk with their older siblings to the park will continue to be supervised in the same manner as last school year**.
We will continue to provide **crosswalk assistance** at the major intersection for students designated as walkers. If you choose to meet your child at the adjacent park, your child **must be registered as a walker**, and please understand that **there is no school staff supervision at the park**.
Please note that students designated as walkers will be dismissed at the official end of the school day at **3:10 p.m.**
Additionally, if your child is in **Pre-K or Kindergarten** and is **not accompanied by an older sibling**, they **must** be picked up through the **Stonehenge car line**.
If you plan to allow your child to walk home or to another designated destination, you **must complete the Walker Acknowledgement Form**. If a form is **not** on file, your child will automatically be classified as a **Car Pickup Student**.
**Walker Acknowledgement Form**

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfaXX6nkEPKIQ-r-zNWrCwiF5AUf1EILKBaGuOBW1HyfinIFg/viewform?usp=header
Finally, we kindly ask that parents **do not walk up to the student exit doors** during dismissal. To ensure the safety of all students and to maintain an orderly dismissal process, parents picking up students on campus should remain in their vehicles and use the designated pickup procedures.
We sincerely appreciate your partnership and support as we work together to provide the safest possible environment for our students. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Faye Webb Administration Team.
**Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to another outstanding year!**
**Sincerely,**
**Faye Webb Elementary Administration**

We are less than a week away from the start of the 2026–2027 school year, and we are excited to welcome so many enthusiastic and eager learners back to Faye Webb Elementary!
Although the first day of school is Tuesday, August 11, 2026, we highly encourage all families to attend Meet the Teacher on Friday, August 7, 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our amazing staff, introduce your child to their new teacher, and help make the transition into the new school year a positive one.
We also encourage you to bring your child's school supplies, any required medications, and all necessary forms completed by the parent or guardian and signed by your physician, if applicable.
Meet the Teacher Schedule
Pre-K through 2nd Grade: 12:45–1:45 p.m.
3rd through 5th Grade: 2:00–3:00 p.m.
Campus Entry Information
To help ensure a smooth experience for everyone, there will be two entry points:
Front Entrance (Boardwalk Street)
"Horseshoe" Entrance (Stonehenge Street)
While all families are welcome to enter through the front entrance, we encourage Pre-K through 2nd grade families to use the horseshoe entrance.
At 1:45 p.m., we kindly ask Pre-K through 2nd grade families to exit through the horseshoe entrance. This will help reduce congestion at the front of the building and improve traffic flow as our 3rd through 5th grade families begin arriving for their session at 2:00 p.m.
If you have children attending both sessions, you are welcome to wait in the multipurpose room until the second session begins. We appreciate your cooperation in waiting in this designated area rather than outside classroom doors.
First Day of School Expectations
Parents, we will continue to maintain the same safety expectations that have served our campus well.
To ensure a safe and secure environment for all students, parents and visitors will not be permitted to escort students beyond the front vestibule during morning arrival, including on the first day of school.
We understand how meaningful the first day of school is for both students and families, and we know many children may feel excited, or even a little nervous, as they begin a new year. Please know that our staff will be stationed throughout the building to warmly welcome students and safely guide them to their classrooms.
Attending Meet the Teacher is the best opportunity for your child to become familiar with their teacher, classroom, and campus before the first day, helping to make that first morning as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
Additionally, please make sure your student, and any parent, guardian, or authorized adult who will be picking up your child, knows the designated dismissal location and how your child will be getting home each day. Having a clear transportation plan is one of the best ways to ensure a safe and smooth dismissal process.
Please use the designated arrival and dismissal map to help manage traffic flow and maintain the safety of all students, staff, and families.
We kindly ask that you refrain from walking your child to the building entry points during morning arrival or waiting by the exit doors during dismissal. Our staff members will be stationed throughout campus to warmly welcome students and safely assist them into the building. Your cooperation will help minimize traffic congestion and ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Arrival & Dismissal Locations
⭐ Pre-K–Kindergarten (Stonehenge Side): Students in Pre-K and Kindergarten should arrive and dismiss on the Stonehenge side of the campus.
⭐ Families with Siblings: If you have an older student in 1st–5th grade who has a younger sibling in Pre-K or Kindergarten, please use the Pre-K–Kindergarten arrival and dismissal location on the Stonehenge side for all of your children.
⭐ 1st–5th Grade (Boardwalk Side): All students without a Pre-K or Kindergarten sibling should use the Boardwalk side for arrival and dismissal.
⭐ Specialized Services: Students who utilize specialized transportation services (district vans and buses) will continue to use the front entrance, following the same procedures as last school year.
(Stonehenge horseshoe drop off will open at 7:15 for early arrival tentatively, as we have had a reduction in staff)
Thank you for your continued partnership, trust, and support. We are looking forward to another outstanding year of learning, growth, and success at Faye Webb Elementary.
We can't wait to see everyone at Meet the Teacher on Friday, August 7!
